The architecture interventions connected to the expansion of the water cleaning facility are of two types: on one hand interventions directly on the reinforced concrete pools, both on the existing ones and on the new ones, building up a system that hides such elements from the rest of the facility; on the other hand increasing the higher vegetation. The objective of such interventions is connected to the environmental mitigation of the facility in order to valorize the artefact, interpreting the built environment as a “noble object” that needs to hold up and blend with the rural context in which is inserted. Coherently with this interpretation of the built environment the materials to use are carefully chosen and the elements are designed in order to obtain quick assemblage and maintenance, the positioning of such system and their coordination with the vegetation, new and existing, is carefully thought.
